Buttercup Club Wrap Around Care
Welcome to Buttercup Club, Goldfield's wrap around care Breakfast and After School Club
Our Breakfast Club and After School Club for KS1 children (Year 1 and 2) are based in the main school building and has a separate drop off and pick up entrance accessed from Christchurch Road. There is a separate after school club, 'Buttercup Buds', for children in the Nursery and Reception Classes. The Buttercup Buds After School Club is situated in the Nursery where the younger children can benefit from the Early Years environment and continue to feel happy and secure in familiar surroundings rich in resources for play and exploration. On a Friday after school (when numbers of children attending are lower) both clubs combine as one in the Buttercup Club Rooms in the main school building.
Both after school clubs offer a homely and welcoming environment and provide opportunities for the children to enjoy free choice play, crafts, rest and relaxation, computing as well as opportunities for physical activities in the hall and school grounds. Children have access to a range of play equipment during the sessions and can make choices about the activities and projects they want to participate in. They are also involved in planning their activities and the preparation of meals, we welcome and act on their feedback.
The Breakfast Club runs from 8.00 am until the beginning of the school day and includes a breakfast such as cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit. Cost: £5.00 per morning session.
After School Club
The After School Club runs from 3.15 to 6.00 pm (children can be collected at any time) and will include a snack and light meal (such as sandwiches, salad, fruit) the children are involved in cooking and preparing meals and have opportunities to create their own meal. Cost: £12.00 per session.
Children are welcome to take part in school based activities after 3.15 pm and may join the club later however the fees will remain the same. Please inform the Club Leader of any school based activities the child is taking part in.
Please note that the club will not be available on school inset days or if the school has to close for adverse weather conditions or other emergency. Please also check forthcoming events for additional closures at the end of term.
The Buttercup Club Team
Buttercup Club's team are fully qualified and also employed in other roles at the school, so they are familiar to the children and very much part of the school community. This means that class teachers can make the Buttercup Club team aware of any relevant issues.
