For our children to fulfil their potential, make progress and thrive in the school environment a partnership between our parents and teaching team here at Goldfield is essential. The Curriculum pages share information regarding the vision behind our intent for the curriculum and an outline of planning across subjects. The Parent Partners pages aim to provide additional information to assist you in supporting your child's progress at home. The lockdown has offered us the opportunity to share our lessons, teaching strategies, resources and planning as never before. We want to continue to develop our partnership, working together to enable the children to develop a thirst for knowledge; a resilient, problem solving attitude and ultimately feel secure, enjoying their learning journey. 

 

As well as providing information to support learning at home there are many opportunities to join us in school to experience life in the classroom with your child. In the Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) half-termly open classrooms allow families to 'explore and learn' together through play and share each Learning Journal. The children and their teachers select special activities, tasks and experience to fill each page of the Journal with knowledge, skills and favourite creations. When the children join Key Stage 1 our Parent Partner mornings allow parents to experience the Key Stage 1 curriculum over two mornings of lessons in the classroom. Throughout the year there are also parent consultations, open classrooms in each year group, curriculum workshops, performances and many other opportunities to find out more about teaching and learning here at Goldfield.
